What do you think?

This will be Lincoln's third Christmas. Early on I decided each Christmas he would have a theme for the year. Then, we would get him Christmas pajamas, an ornament or two, wrapping paper, etc to go with that theme. The first year, we chose a reindeer theme. You can see his pj's, reindeer ears, wrapping paper, gift tags and stuffed toy. He also had a reindeer stocking and bib. The wooden reindeer has long been a fixture at my Gran's house at Christmas and that year, she passed it on to Lincoln!

Last year we did Santa Claus. Lincoln called him "Ho Ho Ho" and loved any and everything Santa. You can see his Santa pj's, Santa hat, slippers, ornament and Santa gift box. We wrapped his gifts in sparkly Santa paper and ribbon.

Now, I'm searching for the 2009 theme. Help us decide what would be a good theme for Lincoln. Feel free to leave a comment with your own idea! PS* Christmas is only 55 nights away!

The Loves of My Life

Don't you just love it when you happen upon a great photo opportunity. We bought a regular digital camera before our wedding and used it up until Lincoln's birth. After a few weeks we realized we needed something better and bought the Nikon D40. Hands down, that has been the greatest purchase we've made. It takes incredible pictures and is so user friendly. Some of my favorite shots have just happened. I love these!
The loves of my life! I am such a lucky girl!

Could they be any cuter?!?

Ryan would say coupons are my second greatest love:) Check out what I got tonight at Kroger for a whopping $24. 73. The best part, I saved over $75 for a savings of 75%! Hooray for Tylenol, toothpaste, blackberries and frozen veggies!

Fall Festival

Fall is definitely in the air. I love this time of year and am especially excited for all the cool fall weather we have had. Lincoln and I have enjoyed morning walks and trips to the park. Last weekend we went to the Cooper Clinic in McKinney for their fall festival. Here are a few shots from the afternoon. Oh, and a sneak peek of Lincoln's Halloween costume.

Feeding the goats. This boy knows NO fear.

Riding the pony, again no fear.

My Little Chickadee

As we get closer and closer to Halloween, I wanted to post pictures of Lincoln's first and second Halloween. Here he is only 4 weeks old He looks so big and grown up, even though he is a newborn. At this point, I hadn't even thought about Halloween, but Mom and I saw this while getting Lincoln's newborn pictures, and we scooped it up. He made such a cute little chickadee.

I remember those early days, I was soooo exhausted I could barely keep my eyes open! I'm anxious to see how his costume comes together this year. I'm making it again this year, I really enjoy "creating" his costumes and giving him a one-of-a-kind look! He was such a cute Frankenstein last year, I hope to continue the tradition of homemade costumes.

Burning Off Some Energy!

Today we spent part of the morning at a gymnastics center for their Preschool Open Gym. Lincoln seemed to have fun for the most part, it was a little spread out and unstructured, so at times he couldn't figure out what to do next. Here are a few shots of the day.

This and That

Just a few random shots of the boy at a birthday party this weekend and a few others. I'm loving dressing Lincoln up for fall. We are going to a gymnastic open gym on Wednesday. Should be fun!

My Little Sponge

Lincoln has been able to recognize all his letters and numbers for quite sometime now. He has also mastered his lower case letters. I figure the next logical step is practicing his sounds. He walks around the house all the time saying "M say mmmmm" or "B say buhhhh". It's really cute and of course we cheer him on. On his own, he decided to take it a step further and over exaggerate the first letter of his words. I am now known as "mm mmm mommy" and we "guh guh Go" and he gives "ka ka kisses". It was cute at first, now I think people assumes he has a bad lisp:)

Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it out to a pumpkin patch in Flower Mound this year. The weather hasn't cooperated so far for October, but we managed to go despite the cold. It was fun to be able to bundled up in October for once. I love buying cheesy winter sweaters for Lincoln. This year was no exception. He was decked out in his wooly moose sweater, I love it. Lincoln had a ball and enjoyed the hayride and kettle corn and of course showing off for Memer and Gigi. Our camera broke...our $500 camera...the camera we've had less than two years...the camera that we did not buy an extended warranty on...so I used the blackberry instead, BOO!

Wedding Weekend!

We had a fantastic weekend celebrating Holly and Brian's wedding with old and new friends and family. I got very few pictures with my own camera, but will be sure to post some once we get them back from the photographer.

As I stood up there next to Holly and watched the ceremony unfold, I had a chance to look around and see our family and friends. God is so faithful and has truly blessed our family beyond anything I could have ever imagined. It was so neat to see four generations represented, my cousins and their spouses, Jody and Mike and their seven little bright eyed kids, and all the years and years of marriage represented there that afternoon.

I love going to weddings and silently remembering my own wedding five years ago. Ryan and I locked eyes at one point and I know he was thinking the exact same thing! God is Good!

WHOOP!

Just one of a million reasons I love being an Aggie. This is a must read for all Aggies and for those of you who aren't, first let me say "I'm Sorry", and secondly, read this anyway. It's a great story. Gig 'Em Ags! BTHO Arkansas!
