p.s.

He is Lincoln at 5 months old on Valentine's Day last year. My how time flies.

Happy 30th Birthday, Ryan

Ryan celebrated his 30th birthday on Thursday, February 12th. I have a few more months to relish my twenties before I join him May 12th. It was fun celebrating the big day with some friends the weekend before and we celebrated with dinner on his actual day. Ryan is the perfect husband and truly the most wonderful dad. He has more than exceeded my expectations in that department. Lincoln is so lucky to have such a warm, FUN, sensitive, affectionate playmate and father in Ryan. I'm so excited to see what his next 30 years hold. He doesn't look a day over 25, right?

Valentine's Day

Lincoln had a very happy Valentine's Day. He got a big blue ball and a bubble wand. He loves saying "bubbles" while he chases them in the backyard. It's pretty cute. Lincoln also got me a card that he helped color and sign his name (thanks Ryan!). And today, while we were playing in the backyard, Lincoln was picking dandelions and giving them to me....so sweet!

A picture of Lincoln's Valentine's Day breakfast before he dug in. (There is a pancake under the blueberries). But now that I look at it, it appears very Fourth of July-ish.

Smiling

Lincoln playing in Anna's shopping cart at his Valentine's Day party on Thursday.

Lincoln and his Valentine Anna. She was on board, but Lincoln was having doubts. I think that is because in his heart, Mommy is his Valentine! Anna is seriously so cute and she is a younger woman...only 8 months, but who's counting.

Alicia and Luke

Since Lincoln is on antibiotics, we've been trying him to eat yogurt at least once a day. He doesn't really like it, so I've been making yogurt smoothies in the blender (milk, yogurt, ice, and whatever fruit we have in the house). He loves them. This afternoon, I just gave him the yogurt and a spoon, and he ate it all. I guess he liked being independent with his spoon. He used his left hand when he eats. Ryan's dad and brother Dillon are lefties...maybe Lincoln will be too.

As I was catching up on friends' blogs, I read Alicia's blog. Check out her son Luke. Luke is exactly one month younger than Lincoln. Funny we would both have a post about left-handed eating. Alicia also blogs here. You should check out both of her blogs. She always has something insightful to say, with a twist.

Speaking of Alicia, she introduced us to Sandra Boynton books. Her son Mark really likes My Personal Penguin, and Lincoln does too. You can also go here to listen to Davy Jones sing this book. It is a must have and a great idea for Valentine's Day.
